Who We Are
We are a small family owned and operated Letter press studio in the hills of northern CA. Originally we started out wanting to provide a quality printed product for our prospering floral business (Stems Flower Bar) and also the wedding and floral industry, but we quickly realized that being a full service letterpress printer was the way to go.
But then the 2018 fire season tried to take it all away from us as the “Camp Fire” roared through our little town of Paradise / Magalia CA.
Our town was destroyed and left us with a decimated client base. So we picked ourselves up by our boot straps and decided to reinvent ourselves ONLINE! and reach out to a whole new potential audience, and looking forward to a bright future.
With all our thanks and blessings,

What is letterpress?
Letterpress originally started with setting of blocks of type into a metal frame called a “chase”. The blocks of type would be pressed into the paper to produce an image. Now, we use photopolymer plates and magnesium plates to create the same effect.
Letterpress is different than most forms of printing because we’re able to create a physical impression of the print into the paper so when you move your fingers across the print you can feel the depression of letters and images. We’re limited to printing one color at a time so it’s best to keep the design simple and let the impression and your paper choices influence the overall piece.
It may cost a little more to produce than other forms of printing, but the quality and uniqueness of the product is well worth the cost to produce.
