How much will my project cost?
Pricing is done individually, based on the labor and materials required to complete the project-not by the piece.
How long will my order take to receive?
Our turnaround time is approximatately 3 to 5 weeks from date of order (receipt of final art files + 50% deposit) to ship date (balance due prior to shipping): Depending on the volume of work in the print shop, as we are a smaller letterpress studio. Projects will be produced in the order that they are received. shorter turn around times may be possible but not guaranteed, depending on workload at the time of order.
Do you have a minimum order requirement?
No minimum order is required!
What should I provide to you to receive an estimate for my project?
To receive an estimate, please provide; print process(es), color(s), size(s), stock requirement, finishing requirement (if any), and quantities.
What should I provide to you to receive a quote for my project?
To receive a quote, please provide; print process(es), color(s), size(s), stock requirement, finishing requirement (if any), quantities, and art files.
What is the preferred method of payment?
Check payments are preferred, however, we will also accept credit card payments. A 3% surcharge will be added to cover associated fees for credit card payments. Credit card billing requires include; Card Number, CVV Number, Expiration Date and Billing Zip Code.
Do you offer hard proofs?
Hard proofs are available only under the following conditions:
FLS must receive an actual order for all of the proofs requested, including the minimum 50% deposit.
Any changes made to the letterpress/foil design(s) and subsequently, the letterpress/foil die(s) will incur the cost (TO YOU) to manufacture any additional die(s).
Any changes made to the type of stock will incur the cost (TO YOU) of the initially ordered stock and whatever must be orded to accommmodate the changes(s).
The cost for the hard proofs is IN ADDITION to the cost of the complete project and will vary by order.
May I bring my own design?
Absolutely! We request and encourage all of our clients to bring their own designs!
What are the preferred art file formats for our designs for foil or letterpress work?
Complete & divided by color/process, pdf, to size, black, fonts outlined, with trim marks and .125" bleed if necessary.
Are there any requirements for artwork designs?
Yes, for our printing, all artwork should be submitted using the following guidelines:
- Submitted in PDF format
- Complete and divided by color (if more than one color)
- Submitted in black
- Submitted to size
- Must include Trim Marks
Please note: 4 Color Pantone Ink selections are problematic and we do not recommend their use!
What colors are available for letterpress projects?
Pantone uncoated (U) shades (spot Colors), Metallic ink colors and Flourecent ink colors
What foil colors are available?
We offer Gold, Silver, Copper, Red, Green and Translucent all in shiny and matte finishes... Custom foil colors and finishes may be ordered; Additional charges may apply.
What stock do you have available and is it possible to order a custom stock?
There are so many stocks available to you as choices that we can't possibly stock it all! We however Keep a healthy supply of 100% cotton stocks on hand in many standard weights and colors. We can always custom order any stock to your specifications.
Are you able to provide duplexing, edge painting, or laser-cutting?
We offfer deplexing, as well as edge painting along with any other finish service that you may be able to think up. Sorry at this time we do not perform Lazer Cutting in house.
